Amanda & Melissa, discuss Ireland’s deeply rooted drinking culture, the historical and societal factors that have contributed to the country’s long-standing association with alcohol, from generational trauma to the lack of alternative social outlets.
Hi Melissa and Amanda , as I work at the Aviva Stadium for the Rugby games involving Leinster and The Ireland Team, I can honesty say that the drinking culture is still thriving . I simply cannot believe my own eyes at times at the quantity of alcohol being consumed at these events. It's the same at concert venues , where people walk away from the performers to lash into more drink , rather than continue to enjoy the experience . That's my take on it anyway. Thank you both for another great podcast.. Very best wishes . Jim
